The EPS Homicide Unit is investigating, after a young man was found dead in northeast Edmonton Friday morning.
Police responded to a townhouse, on 132 Avenue and 47 Street, just after 6:00 a.m. Friday – on reports of a ‘male in distress’.
Officers on the scene said family members were inside the home when police arrived.
“There was a few people in the house, obviously family and friends, they’re pretty distraught,” “We’re starting to investigate this right from the beginning, and we’ll go from there.”
Some of those family members were taken to police headquarters for questioning.
Other members of the family told CTV News a mother lived in the home, with her three children, two girls and a boy.
They said the deceased is about 17-years-old.
