Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects, and have issued a public warning – in connection to a personal robbery in the Mill Woods area over the weekend.

Police said the incident happened on Sunday at about 10 p.m., after a woman had stopped at a convenience store to withdraw money from the ATM.

The woman was walking on a footpath on 75 Street and Mill Woods Road South, when a man allegedly approached her from behind, assaulted her with a weapon and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers, the Canine Unit and Air-1 responded, but did not find a suspect.

The suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 183 cm (6’) tall
  • Between 72 and 77 kgs (160 and 170 lbs)
  • Slender build

At the time, the suspect was described as wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, dark blue jeans and white sneakers. It’s believed he may also have dark hair.
