Edmonton Police said Thursday that a man who was found injured at a northeast Edmonton transit station, and later died, was one of the city’s most recent homicide cases.

On Sunday, March 27 at about 2:23 a.m., officers were called to the area of 129 Avenue and 58 Street near the Belvedere LRT Station parking lot – where a man was found with signs of trauma.

The man was treated and taken to hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Medical Examiner confirmed Bruce Peter Macdonald, 50, died from stab wounds, and his death has been ruled a homicide.

The EPS Homicide Unit is seeking two female suspects, and police are still investigating.
