Homicide detectives are marking one year since a couple was shot to death in their home in southwest Edmonton in March, 2016 – and said they’re still looking for a break in the case.

Back on March 23, 2016, the bodies of Irfan Ahmed Qureshi, 37, and Suzanne Marie Tran, 27, were found in the bedroom of a home in the area of 49 Avenue and 213 Street.

An autopsy confirmed the couple died from multiple gunshot wounds, and their deaths were Edmonton’s 7th and 8th homicides of that year.

Investigators released surveillance video Wednesday, showing a suspect vehicle near the scene of the homicide – in the hopes tips from the public will help the investigation move forward.

Anyone with information that could help police is asked to call the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or #377 on a mobile phone. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
