A Mainstreet/Postmedia poll shows Edmontonians are in support of affordable housing, but would not want it in their own neighbourhood.

Out of the 800 Edmontonians polled, 48 per cent supported more affordable housing projects across the city. Twenty-nine per cent said they are against it, and that number increased to 38 per cent when respondents were asked if they would want them near where they live.

Citizens were also asked what they would prefer for the old Rossdale EPCOR power plant redevelopment, and 24 per cent said they want a Granville Island Style shopping area.
