RCMP east of Edmonton were called Monday morning to a workplace incident, and later in the day, confirmed a Saskatchewan man had died.
Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Emergency Services were called to the incident at Hi-Pro Feeds, on Liberty Road in Sherwood Park.
At the workstie, a 57-year-old man from Saskatchewan was found dead inside a grain hopper; officials said initial investigation had found the man was clearing the hopper when the incident took place.
No other details on the incident will be released, police said. The vehicle involved in the incident was from out-of-province, so investigators from the Federal Occupational Health and Safety have taken over the investigation.
