Police said Monday that officers in the Cold Lake area had recovered three of four boats that had been stolen from a Calmar dealership in mid-September.

Four boats, with trailers, were stolen from Wizard Lake Marine on the night of September 13, 2017.

On Saturday, September 23, Cold Lake RCMP said the three boats and trailers, with an estimated value of about $600,000, were found on a rural property near Cold Lake.

“Members had somebody under arrest for a different stolen property investigation and some ALERT members found evidence of the stolen boats, which led them to carry on this investigation and recover three of the stolen boats,” Cpl. Laurel Scott, an RCMP spokesperson, said.

Police searched that property, and also recovered about $250,000 worth of stolen property.

RCMP said two men are in custody, and charges are pending.

The fourth stolen boat has not yet been recovered. Police said it’s believed it was sold in the Edmonton-area.
