RCMP investigate fatal collision north of Edmonton
Police have closed down a portion of Highway 44 after two people were killed in a vehicle collision Sunday.

RCMP are investigating a fatal collision near Villeneuve.
Officers tell CTV News that two people were killed, one in their 90s and another in their mid-70s.
Two others have been taken to hospital but there was no word on their condition.
RCMP said the incident happened after a northbound van lost control due to poor road conditions and collided with a southbound SUV.
Police have closed down Highway 44 near the hamlet while they investigate.
Villeneuve is about 10 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
