Police northeast of Edmonton are investigating a fatal collision that left one dead, and another in hospital on Friday.
Fort Saskatchewan RCMP said early Friday morning, a collision took place on Highway 831 between Township Roads 562 and 564.
Police said the crash involved two vehicles – one individual died, and a second person was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
As a result of the crash, the highway was closed for several hours, it was reopened shortly after 11 a.m. Friday.
Police are investigating, and said it wasn’t known if alcohol, drugs or speed were a factor in the crash.
