Police in St. Albert are investigating a series of egging and doorbell ringing incidents in that city in recent days.

RCMP said multiple reports had come in over such incidents taking place on the nights of August 17, 18, and 19.

On August 17, police said a 69-year-old man living in the Deer Ridge area awoke at 10:30 p.m. when his doorbell was rung, but he didn’t find anyone at his door when he answered.

That same night, police said eight vehicles were egged in the Pineview area.

Then, RCMP said between Monday night and Tuesday morning, a vehicle in the Oakmont area was egged – in addition to a home in the Lacombe area.

The family in the home that appears to have been targeted said their doorbell has been rung “at all hours” for the last two weeks.

Investigators said a truck and two silver cars were seen driving away from one of the scenes.

Anyone with information that could help police in the investigation is asked to call St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
