RCMP say report of alleged abduction was 'completely unfounded'

RCMP has now determined that a report of an attempted abduction near Spruce Grove is completely unfounded.

Spruce Grove RCMP sent out a news release on December 24 suggesting that an attempted abduction had taken place in Parkland Village north of Spruce Grove on December 23.

Several hours later, RCMP sent out a second release telling media that a man had been taken in for questioning in connection with the case, but just over an hour later, RCMP sent a third release informing the media that the report was completely unfounded.

Police are thanking the public for their help with the investigation.
