Police in central Alberta are on the lookout for a suspect, after a child reported a man tried to lure her to his vehicle Monday morning.
Red Deer RCMP said the incident took place at about 8:45 a.m. Monday, as an eight-year-old girl was walking to Mattie McCullough Elementary School.
It was reported the male suspect beckoned the girl over to his truck, and he followed her for a short distance when she ran away.
The girl made it to school unharmed.
The suspect is described as:
- Middle-aged or older
- Caucasian
- With white or blonde hair
The suspect was described as wearing a baseball-style cap and black and grey leather jacket, he was driving a black truck with tinted windows.
