Police in St. Albert said the search was on for three suspects, after a man in his 30s was assaulted by three others outside a fast found restaurant over the weekend.

St. Albert RCMP said at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday, three men were walking through the drive through at a McDonald’s located in St. Albert’s south end.

The trio was trying to order from the drive-through, and holding up vehicles in the lane – RCMP said other drivers were yelling at the men, but they continued to try and order.

It’s alleged a 31-year-old St. Albert man got out of a taxi to confront the three men, but the incident turned into an argument.

The man’s cellphone was taken and thrown, cracking the screen, and the man was punched in the face a number of times before the three men fled.

The first suspect is described as: Male, tall (about 6’2”), with short, blonde hair, wearing a black suit with a black dress shirt. The second male was reported wearing a black suit jacket and a pink collared shirt, and the third was wearing a green collared shirt and no jacket.

No further descriptors were available for the suspects.

RCMP said anyone with information that could help police identify the suspects is asked to call St. Albert RCMP at 780-458-7700, or to call Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
