Red Deer RCMP seeking suspect in sexual assault

Central Alberta RCMP are investigating, and working to identify a suspect, in an alleged sexual assault in downtown Red Deer on New Year’s Day.

Red Deer RCMP said it’s alleged a woman was sexually assaulted in the downtown area at about 5:15 a.m. on Jan. 1.

Police said the suspect is described as:

• Caucasian
• Mid-20s
• Light brown hair

At the time of the alleged assault, he was wearing blue jeans and a black winter coat.
