A number of residents were evacuated from their homes in Leduc after reports of a gas leak Monday.
Fire crews were called to a main gas line leak at Deer Valley Drive in Leduc.
Crews say the line was ruptured by a contractor digging in fence posts at about 3:30 p.m.
As of 6:30 p.m., residents in about 46 homes had been evacuated to the Leduc Recreation Centre.
