The Correctional Service of Canada says an arrest warrant has been issued, after a man serving time for violent crimes was not accounted for at an Edmonton treatment facility.

Officials said on Monday, staff at the Stan Daniels Healing Centre (managed by Native Counselling Services Alberta) found that Carlos Tecomba, 20, was not accounted for.

Correctional Service of Canada contacted Edmonton Police, and an arrest warrant was issued.

Tecomba is described as:

  • 173 cm (5’8”) tall
  • Weighs 91 kg (201 lbs)
  • Medium complexion
  • Brown eyes
  • Black hair

Tecomba is serving a sentence of five years, nine months, for robbery with threats of violence and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

CSC officials are investigating the incident, and working with police to track Tecomba down.

Anyone who sees Tecomba is asked to call police.
