RCMP in northern Alberta are investigating, after a vehicle was driven through the front window of a Slave Lake pizza shop – moments before the business went up in flames.

Police said officers were called to the scene just after 3:18 a.m. on Tuesday, to the ‘Panago’ pizza, located in a strip mall.

It’s believed the fire started shortly after the car was driven through the front window of the business.

Fire crews said the fire was successfully put out a short time later, and was contained to the business – however, RCMP said surrounding businesses sustained smoke and water damage.

RCMP are investigating, the blaze is being treated as arson.
