ATCO officials said three homes in north Edmonton had to be evacuated Thursday afternoon, after a gas leak.
Officials with ATCO said crews and Edmonton Fire Rescue responded to reports that a gas line had been hit in the area of 89 Street and 156 Avenue at about 3 p.m. Thursday.
Three homes were evacuated as a precaution.
By 6:10 p.m., the gas was turned off, and the residents were back in their homes by 6:30 p.m.
ATCO said six homes didn’t have gas initially, but service was expected to be restored that evening.
