Two men have been arrested and are facing murder charges after a 39-year-old man was killed in Fort Chipewyan, northeast of Edmonton.

Fort Chipewyan RCMP say Michael Dion Gladue, 39, was found unresponsive around 3 p.m. Saturday.

The cause of Gladue’s death is not yet known. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Shannon Dion Gibot, 27, of Fort Chipewyan and Jonathan Dean Marten, 30, of Fort McMurray, have been charged with second-degree murder and are in custody.

They are expected to appear in court on Tuesday in Fort McMurray.

Police continue to investigate.
