Edmonton police have been investigating a collision that sent two men to hospital with serious injuries.

Officers responded to a motorcycle collision at 50 Street and 103 Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Saturday.

At the scene one of the men was lying on the road. The other was on the sidewalk.

According to witnesses the two motorcyclists were racing on 50th Street, weaving in and out of traffic, when they hit a Dodge Ram pick-up truck turning onto a residential driveway.

Officials said one of the injured men was 40-years-old and the other was 48-years-old.

Paramedics transported both men to hospital with multiple injuries.
