The lone suspect in the disappearance of a St. Albert couple was back in court on Monday.

Travis Vader was answering to charges not related to the disappearance of Lyle and Marie McCann.

He pleaded not guilty to nearly a dozen charges, including firearms and property-related offenses. These stemmed from incidents around the Barrhead area in June of 2010.

Vader is the only person RCMP have identified as a suspect in the McCann case. The couple from St. Albert vanished in July of 2010. Police believe they were killed.

This is the second time Vader has been tried for crimes unrelated to the McCann's' disappearance.
