The verdict in a Sherwood Park manslaughter case was handed down Friday.

A Judge found Justin Faltermeier guilty of manslaughter in the death of 18-year-old Blain McNally in 2009.

McNally died after he was stabbed in the chest at a house party.

During the trial, officials presented a re-enactment of a witness's account of the fatal stabbing.

The account suggested the two 18-year-olds had knives at the party and Faltermeier threw his, hitting McNally in the chest. McNally died of the injury shortly after.

The medical examiner in the case testified, and called the case ‘one of a kind'.

Faltermeier will be sentenced at a later date.
