Mounties in Wetaskiwin are investigating an armed robbery on October 14.

Police responded to a complaint of an armed robbery at a liquor store in the area of 5000 block and 45 Avenue in Millet, Alberta at approximately 5:30 p.m.

According to RCMP, a man and a woman entered the store, brandished a gun and demanded money from staff.

The employee gave the two thieves an undisclosed amount of money and liquor, police said.

The two thieves fled the liquor store on a green vehicle similar to a Ford Focus and headed westbound on Highway 616, RCMP said.

Police describe the man as aboriginal, 5-foot-10 with a large build, and he was wearing sunglasses, a black jacket, jeans, and a grey with red Chicago Bulls hat.

The woman is described as aboriginal, and she was wearing black clothing with a red Toronto Raptors hat.
