Red Deer RCMP is asking for help from the public to identify a woman suspected in identity fraud.

The woman is suspected of breaking into four lockers at a Red Deer fitness facility on September 27. It is believed she stole credit and bank cards, personal cheques, electronics, keys and other items from four female victims.

RCMP believes the same woman was caught on camera in two other fraud instances in recent months.

Officials said that a bank card had been used, one of the credit cards was used twice, and attempts were made to cash cheques.

The suspect allegedly also opened a bank account in one of the victims’ names before it was discovered and the account was frozen.

Back in July, RCMP said a woman attempted to use a credit card at a jewelry store in Parkland Mall. Once the store staff verified the card was stolen and called police, the suspect fled the store.

According to RCMP, the verified card along with a purse had been reported stolen out of a fitness facility in Calgary. It was determined later on that the suspect used the identification stolen out of Calgary to withdraw $1,700 from one branch, and also unsuccessfully tried at another.

RCMP believe all of these incidents were the same suspect.

Any information on the woman can be reported to Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575.
