RCMP are investigating the death of a young woman near Grande Prairie.
Police said the woman was allegedly shot while hunting south of the city.
“We are investigating it from every angle right now,” Cpl. Roy Kennedy told CTV Edmonton.
“I don’t think right now that we are looking at it from one angle or another.”
Emergency crews responded to the call around 5:30 p.m. on Friday where they found the woman, who was treated on the scene for a gunshot wound.
“It appears that she was with a group of family members from the Vegreville area when the incident occurred,” Cpl. Kennedy explained.
The woman was transported to a Grande Prairie hospital by STARS but later died.
