Ward Twelve

Profile:

Ward Twelve is where many people new to Edmonton are choosing to live. The neighbourhood of Ellerslie has grown immensely over the last term and there is room for more growth in the southern part of the Ward near the Orchards at Ellerslie. Schools in the area include T.D. Baker, Crawford Plains and Ellerslie. The Anthony Henday Drive running through Ward twelve makes it a desirable location for development.

Key Issues:

The LRT is the big issue here. Residents were counting on it but since the other levels of government have yet to come to the table with money, the project is delayed. Growth is also an issue in this Ward. Residents have expressed a desire for more schools and other infrastructure especially to the south.
