An Alberta RCMP officer was charged with assault after an incident in Whistler, B.C. in January.
Const. Vernon Hagen was charged with two counts of assault and one count of obstructing a peace officer after an incident on Jan. 28 when he was off duty.
Hagen has been reassigned while he faces criminal charges.
