RCMP have arrested 28-year-old Mark Phillips in relation to two homicides in the Grande Prairie area.
The body of 24-year-old Amber Dawn Diebert was found in a rural area northwest of Grand Prairie on December 11.
RCMP have been investigating both the disappearance and murder of Diebert, as well as the disappearance of Jody Michelle Topilko who knew Diebert.
Topilko 30, was last seen on November 29 while shopping with family and was later reported missing on December 8. RCMP have confirmed that Topilko is dead.
Phillips is facing two counts of second degree murder related to the deaths of Diebert and Topilko.
His first court appearance is on Monday, December 21.
