The baby found in a south Edmonton parking lot last weekend died before birth.

The body of the baby was discovered in the area of Parsons Road and Ellerslie Road at around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.

An autopsy found the baby died before it was born but the cause and manner of death are still pending more tests.
