RCMP said the body of a woman who was reported missing March 22 was found Friday in a wooded area southwest of Edmonton.
Kelsey Kramer, 23, was reported missing by her mother to Drayton Valley RCMP on March 22 – investigators determined Kramer was last seen and heard from on the night of March 19.
On Friday, April 1, Kramer's body was found in a densely wooded area near the Genesee Natural Area, located north of St. Francis, Alberta, which is located southwest of Edmonton.
Police found the car Kramer had been driving in a rural location in the jurisdiction of the Breton RCMP detachment.
The investigation involved the RCMP Missing Person’s Unit, along with the RCMP Major Crimes Unit from Edmonton – and the search for the woman utilized resources from Drayton Valley, Breton and Thorsby RCMP, along with RCMP Special Tactical Operations troop, RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Air Services.
An autopsy has been scheduled for next week.
