On Monday afternoon, officers were called to a north side house, after a second body was found inside, in less than a week – the heavy police presence continued into Tuesday.

Officers in Northwest Division were called to the house on 112 Avenue and 94 Street, at about 2 p.m. Monday – in the hours that followed; police said investigators with the Homicide Unit were called in.

The next day, few additional details were released – it hasn’t been determined if this death was connected to the shooting death of a man in the same building Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

Police later identified the deceased in that case as Nexhmi “Nick” Nuhi, 76. An autopsy confirmed he had died as a result of a gunshot wound.

Nuhi’s death is Edmonton’s 35th homicide of 2017.

EPS said Tuesday that an autopsy had been scheduled for Thursday, September 21, 2017.
