RCMP Major Crimes Unit have arrested a man in connection with a homicide in the northern Alberta town of High Level.
According to police, on the evening of June 11, High Level RCMP officers responded to a call of a man lying on the ground outside of a local home – he was unresponsive.
Officials said the victim, Gary Brian Junior Didzena, 33, was pronounced dead at hospital.
RCMP have charged Lance Schasees, 28, with second degree murder – he was arrested in the community of Chateh, located about 90 kilometers north-west of High Level.
Schasees is scheduled to appear in High Level provincial court on June 22.
