Crash at St. Albert hospital 'medical in nature,' no charges being laid: police

A vehicle was driven into the front doors of the Sturgeon Community Hospital Sunday evening.

The Chevrolet Avalanche crashed through a cement barricade before it hit the entryway.

No one was hurt.

Police are calling the cause of the crash "medical in nature." Charges are not being laid. 

A spokesperson for Alberta Health Services says hospital operations were not impacted as a result of the crash.

The building's main entrance will remain open while repairs are made.
