A 62-year-old woman who was recently reported missing is now being treated in hospital for cold exposure after she was found in the Leduc area Sunday morning.

RCMP issued a plea to the public on Saturday after Janina Ivanov failed to return to her Beverly home Friday evening, following a dinner with her family in Sherwood Park. Family and friends spent the day driving around the city trying to find her.

According to an RCMP press release, she was located around 9:20 a.m. by a worker checking out a well site on a remote rural road near Joseph Lake Centennial Park.

It's believed the woman may have become lost on her way home and got her vehicle stuck while trying to turn around.
