Edmontonians can expect to shell out more money for electricity next month.

Epcor's energy costs will climb to 13.3 cents a kilowatt hour, which is about four cents higher than November's rates.

The average household can expect to pay around $80 dollars on December's energy bill -- it works out to be about a $26 increase since November.

It's also the highest electricity rates have been since 2000.
