The Elephant and Castle, a popular place to grab a drink on Whyte Avenue for decades, will close its doors just before Christmas.
In a Facebook post late Sunday afternoon, management said the location on 103 Street and 82 Avenue will close on December 21.
No specific reason for the closure was given.
The Facebook post also said that the announcement was made with a lot of sadness, and offered a heartfelt thanks to the Old Strathcona community.
