Elk Point RCMP responded to a report of cruelty to an animal on a rural property northeast of Elk Point.

Police were called to the property on September 24 near Range Road 63, where they found an injured calf that had been shot with an arrow. The calf sustained minor injuries but has since recovered and is doing well.

The calf is believed to have been shot between September 23 and 24 while in pasture.
