It was an emotional send-off for a long-time radio host of morning radio in Edmonton. It was a tearful goodbye for 630 CHED radio veteran Gord Whitehead as he said farewell to his dedicated listeners.
"I always thought it would be a great way to make a living and you have no idea how great it's been. The things it has afforded me and my family," said Whitehead.
The 40-year radio host says he'll be looking forward to slowing things down and sleeping in. He says he will continue to fill in on the radio every now and then.
Whitehead is the only morning show host 630 CHED had had since going to a news-talk format in 1993.
