Two people are in hospital, and one man has died after a two vehicle collision on Highway 28, just north of Gibbons, near the Goose Hummock Golf Course.
RCMP on scene said a man was driving a Jeep north on Highway 28 when his vehicle struck a southbound truck hauling a trailer.
The driver of the Jeep died on scene, and the woman and man in the truck were taken to hospital in Edmonton – one was transported by STARS and the other by ground ambulance.
Investigators expect to be on scene for several hours, Highway 28 north of Township Road 554 will be closed in both directions while the investigation is underway.
Detours have been set up to help drivers get around the scene.
