We talk to our undecided voters the day before the election to see if they are still undecided.

Paul Strandlund – Web and Digital Leader

There are only a few days left in the campaign – are you still an undecided voter? Why or why not?

I made my decision and voted in the advance polls. I renewed my right to complain for 4 years. I'm not undecided anymore and believe I made the right choice for me but won't be sure for the next few months.

Have the issues that matter most to you been addressed properly during the election campaign?

There are still a few issues that remain satisfactorily unresolved, but enough of the big ones were addressed allowing me to make a choice. I still see too much division between the parties and would like to see the leaders address how they will work together to do what is best for Albertans. No matter who wins, a large portion of the populace will not have voted for that party...perhaps even the majority didn't vote for them so I'd like to hear how the next 4 years will be ones of collaboration and not antagonism.

Did any candidates or parties impress you?

Impressed? No. Not one person nor party stepped up to really impress me in this election.

Did any candidates or parties disappoint you? Upset you?

I was disappointed in the lack of action by the UCP upon learning that another candidate has very uncomfortable views. I was disappointed in all of the parties for continuing to attack and not actually provide anything of substance. I'm disappointed in various candidates refusing to attend public debates and meetings. The lack of access to the candidates is not how it should be. We should be able to ask candidates straight forward questions and get straight forward answers but when they make themselves unavailable, that becomes impossible. For that matter, I was very disappointed in the web presence of the candidates as very few had web pages and if they did, there was virtually no ability to find a number to contact them directly. This election really feels like it's leader versus leader and the individual ridings are being ignored.

Yes. I am still undecided for the most part. Most of the issues I have, have not yet been fully addressed by the candidates.

Have the issues that matter most to you been addressed properly during the election campaign?

I know one thing, I won't be voting UCP after pretty much been told to "go to hell". I was informed by my riding's UCP candidate that unless I plan on voting UCP, they don't have time for me. So my options have narrowed. There are 11 candidates in my riding and now only 3 have my potential vote.

Did any candidates or parties impress you?

So far only 2 parties have actually gone out of their way to contact me and ask me about my opinion and I was able to sit down with another candidate and get time to ask questions to which I got honest answers about despite my reservations about other areas.

Right now the 3 parties that have turned me off immensely are the UCP, Communist Party and the Liberal party. I won't be voting for any of them. Especially how mistreated the UCP were towards me, considering I am interested in some of their platform. To be honest. I am more tempted in going into the polling station and refusing my ballot as there is no clear winner or logical choice anymore.

There are only a few days left in the campaign – are you still an undecided voter? Why or why not?

I am still undecided but I have at least narrowed it down. There are items from each party that I like and some that I don’t. I tend to overthink things. I will not vote based on only one issue.

Have the issues that matter most to you been addressed properly during the election campaign?

Overall I would say that they have been, at the very least, addressed.

David Khan impressed me somewhat during the debate. He didn’t shy away from suggesting a sales tax which is probably where we are at these days. I like that he connected it with a reduction in personal income tax. Granted that he didn’t have anything to lose by suggesting it.

I am disappointed with some of the tactics that are used. While they may be somewhat effective, the attack ads are an embarrassment and the texts and phone calls are annoying.

I had actually did the early voting, and I instantly regretted my choice, but I feel like I would have felt that way either way.

Have the issues that matter most to you been addressed properly during the election campaign?

I never realized but after watching the debate I realized education is also huge, even though I'm not in school I think it's super important that everyone gets the same chance. But all the others from before were addressed

Did any candidates or parties impress you?

Not entirely

David Khan, I think I was more so annoyed... no one cares that you're a lawyer guy!
