Edmonton firefighters were called the Blackmud Creek neighbourhood in south Edmonton early Friday morning.

When CTV News Edmonton arrived at the scene, crews appeared to be putting out a fire that involved a vehicle and garage at a two-storey detached house.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services said they were called just before 6 a.m. and extinguished the fire by 7:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

The owner of the home said the fire was caused by a faulty block heater cord.
