EDMONTON -- Fire broke out at a home in southwest Edmonton on Monday afternoon.

The fire started around 1:40 p.m. at a house on Running Creek Lane near 9 Avenue and 111 Street, officials said. 

All residents escaped, although one person suffered "partial burns in an attempt to extinguish the fire," Edmonton Fire Rescue Services told CTV News Edmonton. 

Investigators have conclude the blaze broke out at the barbecue on the back deck, which had been left on, and spread to the yard and back of the house.

Damages have been estimated to be about $250,000.
