Edmonton police have laid charges against four individuals, after a weekend traffic stop on the city’s west side lead to drug charges.

Police said on Sunday evening, West Division detectives stopped a vehicle in the area of 110 Avenue and 149 Street.

Officers found the driver didn’t have a license, and two people inside the car were found to be in breach of their release conditions.

Detectives searched the vehicle, and found a can of bear spray, and a number of bags containing 693 grams of soft cocaine, 112 grams of hard cocaine, 7 grams of marijuana, and a bottle of Oxycontin pills – along with more than $5,000 in cash.

It’s estimated the street value of the seized drugs is $60,000.

Now, Denny Joseph Brown, 32, Kelly Alvin Gladue, 36, Robert Leonard Deschamps, 34 and Jade Buro, 20, are each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of stolen property.
