The Santas Anonymous warehouse got a new shipment of toys on Sunday, thanks to a group of generous Albertans.

Members of the Northern Alberta 4 Wheel Drive Association held a toy run for Santas Anonymous on Sunday. It’s a tradition of collecting and delivering toys and money that the four-wheel community takes part in each year.

“We do it once a year and every year we do a good job. We bring out three to four large bins and a couple thousand dollars,” said Christine Poirier, a member of the club.

“We love our community. We really want to help enrich the lives of children in our community so this is just one of many ways we give back.”

This year’s event included a pancake breakfast at the Millbourne Community Hall.

From there, club members drove jeeps and other 4x4 vehicles to the Santas Anonymous depot to deliver the toys.

The jeeps and vehicles were decorated for Christmas, many featuring red noses and reindeer antlers.

The Northern Alberta 4 Wheel Drive Association has been holding the event for 13 years.
