Hinton RCMP are warning that a high risk violent sex offender has been released from the Edmonton Institution.
Serge Tshiya Tshiyoyo, 27, was released on Saturday after serving five years and five months.
RCMP said he was convicted of several violent crimes including forcible entry, kidnapping, assault and sexual assault.
Tshiyoyo is described as a black man with brown eyes and black hair.
Police said he will be residing in the Hinton area. They said they believe there is a significant harm to public following Tshiyoyo’s release.
