Homicide detectives investigating body found in northeast Edmonton alley
EDMONTON -- Homicide detectives were called to a scene in northeast Edmonton Sunday night after residents found a body in an alley.
Firefighters arrived first after a report of a fire, and called officers to the scene at 72 Street and 127 Avenue just after 10 p.m.
A dead man had been found at the location.
Police and fire investigators could be seen interviewing witnesses. No arrests had been made as of 11:30 p.m.
Edmonton Police Service would not comment on a cause of death but said it was “suspicious,” adding the age of the the man was not known. He has not been identified.
An autopsy will be done on Tuesday.
