Fire investigators have determined a more than one million dollar blaze on the city’s southeast was deliberately set.

Edmonton Fire Rescue officials announced Tuesday that investigators found the blaze was a case of arson, and investigators were working with the Edmonton Police Service arson unit.

Firefighters were called to the home on 41 Street and 29 Avenue Monday at 1:30 a.m.

Thirteen people were inside the home at the time, and all escaped with no injuries, that home was completely destroyed, and two other homes were damaged.

Investigators said the blaze caused $1.2 million in damages.
