Strathcona County RCMP have arrested a man in connection to several reported incidents of indecent exposure in the Sherwood Park area.

RCMP received several tips on the whereabouts of the suspect, and after some investigation a man was taken into custody.

At 10 a.m. Thursday morning, officers arrested 23-year-old Bradley Daniel Rattlesnake without incident at his home.

Police also executed a search warrant, and found several items believed to be connected to the crimes – items seized included psilocybin, also known as magic mushrooms.

The arrest stems from three episodes of indecent exposure.

On the morning of July 30, RCMP responded to reports of a man exposing himself on a residential street in Sherwood Park.

The male fled before officers arrived.

Then, on August 8, a woman on her morning jog saw a man walking on a path, as she approached the man hid in a treed area, and exposed himself as she ran by.

On August 22, another incident was reported, when a teenage girl walking near Heritage Drive saw a man expose himself while standing on the street.

Shortly after all of these incidents, police released a composite sketch of the suspect, and quickly received several tips which helped in the investigation.

Rattlesnake has been charged with three counts of committing an indecent act, possession of a controlled substance and breach of probation.

He appeared before a Justice of the Peace, but was denied bail and is still in custody.

Rattlesnake will appear in Sherwood Park Provincial Court on Wednesday, August 31.
