After a year-long investigation, police have laid sexual assault charges against a 42-year-old Edmonton man.
Bruce Alan Cooper is accused of a series of charges including kidnapping, sexual assault, unlawful confinement and assault causing bodily harm in connection with two separate crimes last year.
Edmonton police allege that on Aug. 8, 2009 a woman was offered a ride, taken to a secluded area in south Edmonton and sexually assaulted. Investigators allege a similar incident happened to a second woman a month later.
Cooper is being held at the Edmonton Remand Centre.
