EDMONTON -- A man from Sturgeon County had all charges withdrawn after being accused of a high-speed hit-and-run in February last year.

In April 2021, RCMP said they charged a man in connection with a February incident on Highway 2 and Township Road 552, just south of Morinville, Alta., where a car was rammed at a high enough speed to launch it into an adjacent ditch.

At the time, Jason Boutilier faced four charges, including assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to remain at the scene of a motor accident, and committing mischief to property endangering life.

All charges were withdrawn in March 2022, according to court documents.
